Masked Bandits Break into Courts Again

A group of about 12 masked bandits broke into Courts on Chaussee Road sometime between last night and this morning.

The bandits, according to well informed sources, escaped with a number of laptop computers and flat screen televisions.

The heist was captured on CCTV cameras according to well placed sources.

However, the sources have indicated that crooks were apparently aware of the presence of the cameras because they were well disguised.

“The operation was quick,” one source indicated.

It is suggested that the criminals must have a ready market for the stolen goods either here in St. Lucia or in one of the neighboring islands.

The latest burglary has been described as “significant”.

Although an assessment of what was taken is still underway, it is believed that the bandits made off with most of the laptop computers on display as well as a significant number of flat screen televisions although an alarm is reported to have been triggered by the robbery.

The bandits broke into the show window of Courts along the Morne du Don side of the store.

By the Times got on the scene, remedial work had already been done to address the damage to show window.

This makes the second time in three weeks that bandits have targeted this Courts outlet.
