Police officer shot by accident

A Police officer is reported to have accidentally shot himself in the hand.

Reliable sources told the Times that the incident occurred early this morning at the officer’s residence in the North of the Island.

It was not immediately clear whether the weapon that was discharged belonged to the officer personally or was one issued by the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force.

According to Times sources, the injured policeman is currently being treated at hospital.
