Suspected cocaine was found this morning in a vehicle allegedly owned by a Police Corporal, well informed sources have revealed.

According to reports, the suspected drugs were discovered when the Vieux Fort Drug Squad intercepted a minibus heading towards Castries on the Castries Vieux Fort highway at about 4:10 AM today, Monday, January 18, 2016.

It is reported that the vehicle was being driven by a man from New Development, Soufriere, and had two passengers on board – both males.

A search of the vehicle revealed fifteen blocks of what appeared to be cocaine.

This morning’s drug bust follows the seizure of seven blocks of suspected cocaine when Police raided a house at Mabouya Valley.
